MUNICIPAL HARBOUR'S FUND OF SKIATHOS

ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟ ΛΙΜΕΝΙΚΟ ΤΑΜΕΙΟ ΣΚΙΑΘΟΥ
DESIGN CONCEPT_1
Dealing with the shipping of Skiathos people starts from the depths of time and evolve undisturbed until today.
In the early 18th century, people of Skiathos get rid of the Turkish restrictions and began to build their own ships and to trade and transport to nearby places. The fleet of Skiathos was well equipped and these boats were used throughout the Greek Revolution in many businesses.
Respecting this tradition, I used a classic shape hull with sails, the figure of a seagull that always accompany ships traveling and anchor. The anchor refers to a symbol in the Coast Guard, and the choice of colors - dark blue and yellow. It also serves the following meanings: harbor, marina berths, safety. Additionally, the yellow color is distracting, is widely used in the labeling sites, in offices, in funds, shows vigor and symbolizes wealth and fundraising.
